Tepetonka Golf Club

New London, MN · 27 holes · Private In season

Tepetonka Club, near New London about two hours northwest of the Twin Cities, is Minnesota’s newest, and most exclusive, private golf destination. It was dreamed up by New London native Mark Haugejorde and longtime Hazeltine head professional Mike Schultz, a PGA of America Hall of Famer. The course was designed by OCM Golf, the Australian firm of former U.S. Open champion Geoff Ogilvy with Mike Cocking and Ashley Mead. It’s their first all-new course in the United States. The 18-hole, par-71 layout is spread over 228 acres of rolling glacial moraine, with sandy soil, wetlands, cedar-lined Shakopee Creek in play on six holes, and fast, firm fescue fairways. There’s also Hog Heaven, a nine-hole par-3 course created with input from CBS’s Jim Nantz, who has called Tepetonka “the Minnesota Masterpiece.” Tepetonka is built to be more than a golf club, with a Beach Club on Green Lake, a supper club in the spirit of “high-end, Minnesota casual,” a year-round ranch for the outdoors, and on-site lodging, with new cabins above Shakopee Creek opening in May 2027. Membership is private and limited, and equity memberships were reported at $200,000 in 2024.
