Albion Ridges Golf Club
Albion Ridges Golf Course in Annandale, about 45 minutes west of the Twin Cities, is a 27-hole public course built on ridges and rolling ground, as the name suggests. Designed by Todd Severud, it opened in 1991 as an 18-hole course and later grew to 27, with three nines named for the land itself: Rock, Granite and Boulder. Pair any two for a par-72 round of up to about 6,600 yards. Golfers keep coming back for the conditions: great greens, firm and fast fairways, plenty of elevation change and well-placed bunkers. It’s a friendly, fair layout for every level, and the course is known for keeping play moving. That reputation has earned Albion Ridges a long run on GolfPass’s Top Courses in Minnesota list, as high as No. 4, along with national honors for value, friendliness, pace of play and course conditions. Add a driving range, lessons with a PGA pro, junior rates and busy weeknight leagues, and it’s easy to see why it’s a favorite west of the cities.
