River Crest Golf Course
River Crest Golf Course sits on the banks of the Minnesota River in Montevideo, right where the Chippewa River flows into it. It began as a nine-hole course in 1923, and nearly 70 years later, in 1994, a second nine was added to make the 18 holes golfers play today. Longtime players may remember it as The Crossings at Montevideo. Today River Crest is a challenging 18-hole layout over rolling hills, with interesting greens and just enough sand to keep you on your toes. Between the river views and a century of history, it’s a rewarding round in western Minnesota. Beyond the course, River Crest has a full practice area with a driving range, a short-game hole with its own bunker, and a big clubhouse with a restaurant and event room, plus reciprocal play at Ortonville, Benson and Pomme de Terre for members.
